I see articles like this and nearly everytime while everyone thinks there is a shift to another company to go in that AI direction its nearly always the same. They‘re leaving to start their own company.
If you‘re a top end talent in that space, you‘re probably getting tens of millions in funding offered constantly. That would be hard to turn down. And, in my opinion, always a good career move. They can go back to being an employee if they don’t like it.

If you‘re a top end talent in that space, you‘re probably getting tens of millions in funding offered constantly. That would be hard to turn down. And, in my opinion, always a good career move. They can go back to being an employee if they don’t like it.
It's also good for the industry. Let these new products/tech develop outside the confines or restrictions or a big org.
If it works they can always be bought out and brought back or take up the helm as another leader in the space.
